Arabidopsis Myosin GenesThe genes in this table are based on the paper by Reddy & Day 2001 Genome Biology 2:0024. There are many other genes in the Arabidopsis genome that have been annotated as "similar to myosin heavy chain" or the like, however, none of these genes contains a functional motor domain. In cases where no full-length cDNA is available (all genes that end in letters), the protein sequence has been predicted from the genomic sequence and may therefore be incorrect. In fact, we have already discovered a number of false intron-exon boundary predictions that sometimes alter the predicted size significantly. Clicking on the (temporary) gene name gets you to the locus information at TAIR. The MIPS code links to the protein page in München. The other links pull up the corresponding sequences from GenBank at NCBI.
Please bear with us while we complete this table. Characterization of this gene family is very much a work in progress, so data may change over time. Reports of broken links, comments, suggestions, corrections are always welcome! |
